I ordered Mr. Slade’s Paint a Car video and booklet via
download on June 3, 2008 at 9:00 p.m. I was having
problems getting it to download and I wrote him a nasty
e-mail saying that I didn’t appreciate the lack of
performance of his download site. I swear I’m not
making this up – within 45 minutes, I got both an e-mail
and a phone call from him personally asking what my
problem was. As it turned out, the problem was on my
end; I had transposed the password he had sent me in his
e-mail. I couldn’t even imagine that I would get a
long-distance phone call within 45 minutes of sending in
my order and complaining about my download. He
explained the problem and I was just in total awe and
shock that I would get such customer service on the
Internet from the damn author himself. It’s just beyond
belief, and I don’t believe it was just a timing issue,
I think this guy actually does monitor his business and
e-mail like he says he does on his website.
I don’t know this SOB from any other SOB in the world.
But I would recommend him to anybody. My first reviews
of the downloads appear that this material is equal to
or close to equal to other manuals and videos from such
professional organizations like Eastwood, Summit Racing,
etc… at approximately 10 to 20 percent of the cost. I
have read previous books for which I paid $ 30 and this
$ 10 download is worth tremendously more. I will be
glad to provide an opinion to you about his product. I
have my 1967 Mustang completely torn down and will begin
painting within the next couple of weeks. I’ve known
enough previously to tear it apart and do the
preliminary prep and it is only a few weeks from
shooting paint. If you want my opinion about this
material, feel free to contact me at

However, I will not share any of his material. He has
shown his professionalism and dedication to customer
satisfaction to me, and despite the fact that I probably
illegally share some types of software, I will not ever
share his material because he has shown integrity to me
and I will definitely respect that integrity.

Hi Neil,
My name is Jan and I live in South
Africa. I recently (about 6 months
ago) had my car re-sprayed by a “professional”
spray painter after a struck damaged the rear
door by backing into it. (It is a Uno Pacer SX
’95 Model and the paint work was real dull). It
cost me R8000.00 (+/- 1150.00 Dollars)I was
really disappointed when I collected it from the
workshop. The hood still has scratch marks on it
because of the rough sanding paper and it seems
like their masking was poorly done because of
overspray and which looks like fine cracks close
to the rubbers. I have also noticed that the
paint chips very easily an figured out after my
google trip that they must have added excessive
hardener to it.
After a lengthy argument with no progress and a
lack of interest, I decided that I would learn
to re-spray my own car. (Have no insurance).
Scrolling through endless web pages, (my own
fault, searched: spray painting a car, without
the space) I came
across your site, read through it and looked at
the two videos. Man what a relief!
I didn’t know that there were still people out
there that actually cared about delivering an
excellent service.
You have inspired me. Thank you.
With a new fire I’m tackling this car of mine!

time ago. I'm restoring a '72 240Z and planned
on painting it myself. Well a friend of mine was
replacing all of the fairings on his motorcycle
and needed his gas tank painted to match.
Figured this would be a perfect opportunity for
me to learn before tackling my car. I told him I
would paint it for free so long as he supplied
all the paint and materials. After watching your
videos and reading your pdf again, I went ahead
and dove headfirst into this tank. Let me tell
ya, your tutorials really helped a lot. They
gave me an awesome basic knowledge of painting
and whatnot that I probably couldn't have gotten
anywhere else. I just wanted to tell you thanks
for helping me out, it's really appreciated.
