CAMERA BRAIN RADAR

January 2009

I heard a couple of very interesting Brain Radar stories from my
friend Dave at the coffee shop yesterday-- here's the first...

Dave is a professional photographer. One day after a movie he left his
camera on the seat in a movie theater and walked out. He was the last
one to leave the theater, and realized his mistake out in the lobby.

But by the time he walked back in to get it- it was already gone.
Since everyone else had left before him, the only person who would
have seen it would have been the girl who cleaned up the trash between
shows.

He approached her, and of course, she denied finding it.

Dave called the police, who surprisingly search the office, the trash,
everything at the theater and found nothing.

About a year goes by, and Dave wakes up one morning and suddenly has
the Brain Radar urge to call the local Camera Trader, who resells
camera equipment. He drives over there-- and sure enough- there is
his camera in the glass counter.

He again calls the police- remember this is a YEAR after the camera
went missing, and the arrive and check the serial number. Yes, it's his.

Bullseye Brain Radar

The DAY BEFORE a woman brought it in to sell, claiming it was her
grandmother's. Who was it?

It was the girl at the movie theater.

The DA calls Dave the next day and asks him if he wants to press
charges. So, first Dave decides to go back to the theater and talk to
the woman.

She is astonished that she had been caught. She explains her
situation, desperate, single mom, crappy job.

Dave says, "Don't do it again." And he leaves it at that.

A compassionate and forgiving fellow to say the least.

What would you do-- in either shoes?

How much brain would you use?

:-)
